Présentation

  • La route européenne E402, ou E402, est une route repère de classe B orientée du nord vers le sud. Elle assure la liaison entre les routes européennes E40 et E50 mettant en communication les villes de Calais et du Mans.
  • Elle peut aussi jouer le rôle d'un itinéraire alternatif en l'associant avec la route européenne E502 pour la route européenne E05 en évitant la grande boucle par Paris, joignant ainsi Rouen à Tours situées sur cette dernière route et sur l'E60 pour la ville de Tours.

Historique

  • L'E402 allant de Calais [F] au Mans [F] a été classée par l'AGR de 1975 en 1992.
