La LGV Paris-Sud-Est , aussi désignée sous le nom de ligne nouvelle 1 (LN1) ou simplement LGV Sud-Est , est une voie ferrée française à grande vitesse qui relie Combs-la-Ville, où elle se débranche de la ligne Paris-Lyon - Marseille-Saint-Charles , à Sathonay, où elle est prolongée par la LGV Rhône-Alpes .
D'une longueur totale de 388,930 km, il s'agit de la toute première ligne à grande vitesse construite en France. Elle a permis de soulager le trafic de la ligne Paris-Lyon - Marseille-Saint-Charles arrivée à saturation et d'améliorer sensiblement les temps de parcours entre Paris et le réseau Sud-Est.
À la différence de la ligne classique, la LGV coupe au plus court à travers le Morvan et ne dessert pas Dijon, ce qui lui permet un gain d'un peu moins d'une centaine de kilomètres entre Paris et Lyon. Elle comporte deux gares nouvelles, à savoir Le Creusot-TGV et Mâcon-Loché-TGV.
Elle forme, avec la LGV Rhône-Alpes et une partie de la LGV Méditerranée , la ligne de Combs-la-Ville à Saint-Louis (LGV) ; numérotée ligne n°752 000 du réseau ferré national, il s'agit d'un axe à grande vitesse long de 711 kilomètres reliant le sud de Paris aux abords de Marseille.
Elle supporte aujourd'hui un trafic extrêmement dense, et est notamment empruntée par :
les TGV radiaux reliant Paris à la Bourgogne-Franche-Comté (Dijon et Besançon), l'Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes (Lyon, Grenoble, Saint-Étienne, Valence ou encore la Savoie, le Dauphiné et les vallées alpines), la Suisse (Genève, Lausanne et Zurich), l'Italie (Turin et Milan), la vallée du Rhône (Orange, Avignon, Arles et Miramas), la Provence (Aix-en-Provence, Marseille et Toulon), la Côte-d'Azur (Saint-Raphaël, Cannes, Antibes, Nice, Monaco et Menton), le Languedoc-Roussillon (Nîmes, Montpellier et Perpignan) et l'Espagne (jusqu'à Barcelone) ;
les TGV intersecteurs issus de Nantes, Rennes, Lille ou encore Bruxelles et se dirigeant vers le Sud-Est.

Grandes dates [ ]
5 mars 1974 : le Premier Ministre, Pierre Messmer, prend la décision d'engager la construction d'une nouvelle ligne ferroviaire à grande vitesse de Paris à Lyon.
23 mars 1976 : la future LGV Paris-Sud-Est est déclarée d'utilité publique pour son tracé compris entre Paris et Lyon.
26 février 1981 : la rame TGV Orange n°16 du dépôt TGV "Sud-Est" de Paris-Conflans bat le record du monde de vitesse sur rail, atteignant les 380 km/h à Sambourg (km 156), sur la voie 2 en remontant vers Paris.
22 septembre 1981 : la ligne est inaugurée par le Président de la République, François Mitterrand.
27 septembre 1981 : mise en service de la première section, longue de 271,84 km, comprise entre le raccordement de Saint-Florentin (pK 117,090) et Sathonay-Rillieux (pK 388,930).
25 septembre 1983 : mise en service du tronçon restant, long de 117,09 km, entre Combs-la-Ville (pK 0) et le raccordement de Saint-Florentin (pK 117,090).
13 décembre 1992 : mise en service de la LGV Rhône-Alpes jusqu'à Grenay, prolongeant la LGV Paris-Sud-Est vers le sud et contournant Lyon par l'est.
28 mai 1994 : mise en service partielle de la LGV Interconnexion Est , entre Vémars et Moisenay via Coubert, qui permet de relier les LGV Nord-Europe et LGV Est-Européenne à la LGV Paris-Sud-Est et ainsi de rediriger les TGV intersecteurs.
2 juin 1996 : mise en service complète de la LGV Interconnexion Est , entre Créteil et Coubert, ce qui amène la grande majorité des circulations à emprunter ce raccordement pour rejoindre la LGV Paris-Sud-Est à Moisenay. Les dix-sept premiers kilomètres de la LGV, entre Combs-la-Ville et Moisenay deviennent alors un simple raccordement à la ligne Paris-Lyon - Marseille-Saint-Charles , désormais peu emprunté.

Électrification [ ]
À l'exception de ses extrémités, électrifiées en 1,5 kV continu, la ligne est électrifiée à une tension de 25 kV, courant alternatif, à une fréquence de 50 Hz.
La section centrale, de Sarry à Saint-Martin-de-Commune, a été équipée dès l'origine en 2×25kV, avec feeder négatif en opposition de phase (ce qui donne 50 kV entre feeder et caténaire). Le courant du feeder est ensuite réinjecté vers la caténaire à l'aide d'autotransformateurs répartis régulièrement. D'autres portions ont été équipées de la sorte en 2001, lors du renforcement de l'alimentation consécutive à la mise en service de la LGV Méditerranée .
Aux abords des sous-stations, on trouve souvent un feeder positif, dont le but est de répartir le passage du courant en cas d'appel important. Des pontages sont installés entre le feeder et la caténaire. Contrairement au feeder négatif, le feeder positif est celui qui est placé côté intérieur des voies, en partie haute des supports. Le feeder négatif étant placé à l'extérieur (sauf sur les ouvrages d'art).
Des sectionnements délimitent les secteurs alimentés par chaque sous-station, car les deux sections consécutives ne peuvent être en phase. Ils se franchissent disjoncteur ouvert. Ils sont constitués d'une court zone neutre qui peut être réalimentée par chacun des deux côtés grâce à des interrupteurs.
Chaque sous-station comporte deux transformateurs. Un sectionnement mobile existe au droit de chaque sous-station : il est présenté si une sous-station adjacente connaît un défaut.
Sous-stations [ ]
Moisenay (pK 17,040) : située sur la ligne à 225 kV reliant Courtry à Morbras. Elle alimente la zone comprise entre Lieusaint et Le Châtelet-en-Brie.
La Voulzie (pK 39,420) : alimentée par deux circuits biphasés 225 kV depuis le poste du Chesnoy, elle alimente la section du Châtelet-en-Brie à Gisy-les-Nobles.
Villechétive (pK 95,750) : située sur la ligne à 400 kV reliant le Chesnoy à Serein (Pontigny), elle alimente le secteur de Gisy-les-Nobles à Vergigny.
Carisey (pK 129,406) : alimentée par deux circuits biphasés 225 kV depuis le poste du Serein, elle alimente la section de Vergigny à Tonnerre.
Sarry (pK 164,020) : située sur la ligne à 225 kV reliant Serein à Vielmoulin (près de Dijon), elle alimente le secteur de Tonnerre à Villargoix (près de Saulieu), avec feeder négatif entre Sarry et Villargoix.
Saint-Martin-de-Commune (pK 257,034) : située sur la ligne à 225 kV reliant Henri Paul (Montchanin) à Vielmoulin (Dijon), elle alimente le secteur de Villargoix à Saint-Micaud.
Curtil (pK 296,132) : alimentée par deux circuits biphasés 225 kV depuis le poste de Grosne, elle alimente le secteur de Saint-Micaud à Bussières (peu avant Mâcon).
Mâcon (pK 333,172) : intégrée au poste RTE, elle alimente le secteur de Bussières à Bey (peu après la bifurcation de Savoie).
Les Meunières (pK 377,266) : située sur la ligne à 225 kV reliant la Boisse à Joux (Villefranche-sur-Saône), sur la commune de Civrieux, elle alimente le secteur de Bey à Tramoyes, sur la LGV Rhône-Alpes .

Raccordement de Mâcon-Nord [ ]
Le raccordement de Mâcon-Nord (ligne n°779 300 du réseau ferré national) relie la LGV Paris-Sud-Est à Mâcon à la ligne Paris-Lyon - Marseille-Saint-Charles en direction de Paris.
Il permet d'entrer sur la LGV en venant de Dijon. Il reste néanmoins peu utilisé, les TGV empruntant la ligne classique entre Dijon et Lyon pour éviter d'occuper un sillon de la LGV pour uniquement quelques dizaines de kilomètres.

Description du tracé [ ]
De Combs-la-Ville à la Seine : la Brie
La LGV s'embranche sur l'artère PLM au niveau de Lieusaint, et s'en écarte vers le sud-est. Elle retrouve l'autoroute A5 , qu'elle longera sur une grande distance jusqu'aux abords de Sens.
A Crisenoy, on rejoint le barreau d'interconnexion . On continue à longer l'A5 sur la gauche, dans un paysage de plaine, de champs et de petites forêts. Puis l'on passe tout près de Montereau, où l'on descend un coteau avant de franchir la Seine de concert avec l'A5 . Le paysage est industriel pendant une courte période.
De la Seine à la Vanne : la vallée de l'Yonne
Après Montereau, le tracé s'élève progressivement sur de modestes collines séparant la vallée de la Seine de celle de l'Yonne. On reste à distance de cette dernière qui reste hors du champ de vision. On voit en revanche les collines établies sur sa rive gauche.
La LGV passe assez près de la ville de Sens, visible à droite. A ses abords, l’aqueduc de la Vanne, qui alimente Paris en eau potable, est coupé et côtoyé à plusieurs reprises. Au-delà, le relief s'enhardit, et le tracé s'incurve dans la vallée de la Vanne, affluent rive droite de l'Yonne.
La Forêt d'Othe
Après avoir franchi la Vanne à Malay-le-Grand, la ligne attaque un plateau de front, au moyen d'une longue rampe. Sur ce plateau, on traverse longuement la forêt d'Othe, juste entrecoupée d'une clairière au niveau du village de Villechétive. C'est ici que l'on trouve l'évitement de Vaumort, reconnaissable à son quai de secours à droite. La descente sur Bellechaume est également brutale, mais plus brève. Le paysage change radicalement, en laissant la place à d'immenses étendues agricoles dans un cadre légèrement vallonné. Puis après un bref passage en forêt, on traverse l'Armançon (affluent de l'Yonne), doublé par son canal.
De l'Armançon au Serein
On ne tarde pas à croiser l'artère PLM , ici à quatre voies, au moyen de ponts inférieurs. Ici, les deux voies s'écartent pour laisser la place au raccordement venant de Laroche-Migennes. Puis l'on retrouve un long passage en forêt. A sa sortie, on trouve la sous-station de Carisey (à droite), puis l'on aborde une zone de collines jusqu'à Tonnerre. La ligne prend lentement mais surement de l'altitude.
Au-delà de Tonnerre, on traverse une longue zone d'étendues agricoles, parfois entrecoupée de brèves forêts. C'est ici que l'on trouve le raccordement de Pasilly à Aisy , qui permet de rejoindre Montbard, Dijon ...
A Pisy, le tracé dévale une pente abrupte en direction de la plaine où est établie l'autoroute A6 , que l'on croise à Époisses au moyen d'un pont-rail. Le paysage tend à changer, les grandes étendues agricoles laissant la place à l'élevage sur des surfaces plus restreintes, bordées de bosquets et de haies. Le franchissement du viaduc du Serein, qui coule au fond d'une profonde dépression boisée, annonce l'entrée dans le Morvan.
Du Serein à l'Arroux : le massif du Morvan
L'altitude augmente à nouveau. On peut observer le village de Dompierre-en-Morvan sur la gauche, puis l'on s'engage dans une longue forêt à partir de Lacour-d'Arcenay, où se trouve une base de maintenance sur la droite. L'ascension se poursuit jusqu'aux abords de Saulieu.
Une brève descente annonce le franchissement du viaduc de Saulieu, où coule un petit ruisseau. Une nouvelle rampe lui fait suite : elle mènera la ligne à son point culminant, à hauteur de Liernais, à environ 480 mètres d'altitude. La forêt a fait place aux champs.
Après une descente dans une étroite vallée, un replat fait face à la montagne de Bard (554 m.), établie sur la droite à Marcheseuil. Puis la descente reprend jusqu'à la vallée de l'Arroux. Nous avons donc quitté le bassin versant de la Seine pour celui de la Loire. On longe cette rivière sur la droite pendant un moment avant de la franchir près d'Autun.
De l'Arroux à la Saône
Après le franchissement de l'Arroux, la ligne est établie dans un cadre champêtre moins tourmenté, en passant non loin d’Épinac. Mais l'accalmie est provisoire ... Le relief s'enhardit à nouveau à gauche avant de franchir la Drée, puis la ligne attaque une nouvelle rampe de 35 mm/m. C'est ici que l'on traverse le viaduc de la Digoine, en biais sur la vallée. Puis l'on atteint le haut du plateau, à 450 mètres d'altitude.
La descente qui s'ensuit nous fait border l'étang de Brandon (à droite). On retrouve un paysage de collines, dans une succession de pentes et de rampes, tandis que l'urbanisation se fait plus importante : le Creusot n'est pas très éloignée, à l'ouest. Et pour cause, on ne tarde pas à aborder la gare du Creusot - Montceau-les-Mines - Montchanin.
Sitôt passé la gare, on franchit successivement la voie ferrée Chagny-Nevers , le canal du Centre et la RCEA (RN80) au niveau du poste électrique "Henri Paul" (à droite). On grimpe à nouveau une rampe à Saint-Laurent-d'Andenay (à gauche), avant de plonger dans l'étroite vallée du Brennon. Ici, on peut admirer plusieurs vestiges ferroviaires d'une ancienne ligne déposée : deux viaducs à gauche puis à droite du tracé, des maisons de garde-barrières et la gare de Genouilly avec sa halle à marchandises.
Lors de l'ascension suivante, on côtoie le village de Vaux-en-Pré, longuement visible à gauche. Les collines environnantes sont maintenant plus élevées, notamment à l'ouest. Une nouvelle descente précède le franchissement de la Guye à Cortevaix, suivie de la Grosne quelques kilomètres plus loin. On peut alors admirer brièvement l'abbatiale de Cluny, loin à droite.
La LGV quitte la vallée de la Grosne pour venir se placer en parallèle de la RN79 à 2x2 voies. Elle franchit le col du Bois Clair en tranchée, de concert avec la RCEA , puis le viaduc de la Roche lui fait suite, jumelé là aussi à un ouvrage similaire à 2 voies établi sur la route.
S'ensuit une longue descente à 35 mm/m dans le val Lamartinien, qui nous mènera aux abords de Mâcon. En bas de la descente, on traverse successivement la gare de Mâcon-Loché, l'autoroute A6 , l'artère PLM et l'ex-RN6 , dans un cadre semi-urbanisé. On ne tarde pas à franchir la Saône grâce à un grand viaduc.
De la Saône à Lyon : la Dombes
Sitôt franchie la Saône, on trouve le raccordement de Pont-de-Veyle (ou bifurcation de Savoie) , qui permet de s'échapper vers Bourg-en-Bresse et Genève. Le tracé reste alors à distance de la Saône et des monts du Beaujolais, dans un cadre champêtre. On franchit une seule rivière importante : la Chalaronne.
Le château d'eau de Saint-Jean-de-Thurigneux (à gauche), puis le pont sous l'A46 annoncent la fin de la LGV Paris-Sud-Est , ainsi que la bifurcation de Montanay, qui permet de continuer sur la LN4 en direction de Marseille. Il reste encore quelques kilomètres à parcourir via le raccordement de Lyon-Saint-Clair en vue des monts d'Or (à droite) pour atteindre Sathonay. Après une brutale limitation à 90 km/h, la LGV vient se greffer à la ligne Lyon - Bourg-en-Bresse , que l'on a préalablement longé sur quelques kilomètres (à gauche).
Gares nouvelles [ ]
Deux gares nouvelles ont vu le jour à la création de cet axe, à savoir Le Creusot-TGV et Mâcon-Loché-TGV.
Elles ne bénéficient malheureusement pas de connexions avec le réseau classique, à l'exception de raccordements de service, qui ne sont donc pas ouverts au service des voyageurs. En effet, leur création fut décidée suite à la mobilisation des collectivités locales, à une époque où la SNCF souhait rallier Paris et Lyon au plus court, et donc sans arrêt intermédiaire. Les correspondances avec le réseau classique furent alors délibérément ignorées par les décideurs... De ce fait, ces gares ne sont aujourd'hui qu'accessibles par la route.
En outre, si les deux gares sont de nos jours desservies par plusieurs liaisons routières, ce n'était pas le cas à leur création. A l'époque, la SNCF décidait de laisser la gestion des autocars de rabattement aux collectivités locales, une décision qui fonctionna plutôt bien en ce qui concerne la gare du Creusot-TGV, mais qui amena aussi la gare de Mâcon-Loché-TGV à patienter plusieurs années avant de bénéficier d'une desserte par autocar.
Leur architecture est sobre et fonctionnelle. Le schéma des voies y est plutôt classique, avec deux voies rapides (sans arrêt) au centre et deux voies de desserte longeant les quais.
Le Creusot-TGV [ ]
La gare du Creusot - Montceau-les-Mines - Montchanin TGV (graphie officielle) est établie au pK 273,816 de la ligne de Combs-la-Ville à Saint-Louis (LGV), sur le territoire de la commune d'Écuisses, à deux kilomètres de la RN80 permettant de rejoindre Le Creusot, Montchanin et Montceau-les-Mines.
Cette gare permet la desserte d'un bassin autrefois enclavé et en crise, et sa création a donné un nouveau souffle industriel à cette zone urbaine.
Elle n'est reliée par le TGV qu'à Paris et à Lyon, à l'exception d'un TGV quotidien vers Bruxelles ainsi qu'un autre la reliant à Saint-Étienne-Châteaucreux. Par ailleurs, elle bénéficie d'une connexion au réseau classique via le raccordement de Montchanin , qui n'est pour l'heure pas exploité pour une desserte voyageurs. Néanmoins, un hypothétique projet - allant de pair avec la rénovation de la ligne Nevers - Chagny inscrite au CPER 2021-2027 de la région Bourgogne-Franche-Comté - prévoit la modernisation de ce raccordement et l'aménagement d'une halte TER en gare du Creusot-TGV.
En ce qui concerne le service routier, la gare est desservie par des autocars TER qui la relient à Roanne, ainsi que par plusieurs lignes routières du réseau interurbain Mobigo qui la relient au Creusot, Montchanin, Montceau-les-Mines, Autun et Chalon-sur-Saône.
Mâcon-Loché-TGV [ ]
La gare de Mâcon-Loché-TGV est établie au pK 333,977 de la ligne de Combs-la-Ville à Saint-Louis (LGV), au sud de la ville.
Elle est régulièrement reliée à Paris, Annecy et Milan par le TGV, mais bénéficie également de quelques TGV quotidiens vers Lyon.
La gare est desservie par des autocars TER qui la relient à Villefranche-sur-Saône, et également par des autocars du réseau Mobigo qui la relient à Chalon-sur-Saône.
